Delta-Variante in Österreich weiter auf dem Vormarsch

Laut aktuellen Daten der AGES liegt der Anteil der Corona-Infektionen mit der Delta-Variante in Österreich bereits bei 43 Prozent. Die meisten Fälle wurden in Wien entdeckt.
Die erstmals im indischen Bundesstaat Maharashtra nachgewiesene sogenannte Delta-Variante des Coronavirus ist in Österreich weiter am Vormarsch. Mittlerweile sind rund 43 Prozent der 2.190 sequenzierten Proben in der Kalenderwoche 28 für diese Mutation verantwortlich. Das zeigt der neueste Varianten-Bericht der Agentur für Gesundheit und Ernährungssicherheit (AGES). Das sind österreichweit 942 Fälle in der Zeit vom 12. bis 18. Juli.
