Each spring, newspapers from across Virginia gather together to celebrate each other’s achievements and recognize the outstanding work happening in newsrooms every day by cohorts of talented journalists.
The News & Advance was named the best mid-sized news organization in Virginia on Saturday by the Virginia Press Association. In all, the staff of The News & Advance won 35 awards in the association s annual News & Advertising Contest.
