First, a grain train he railed, derailed, hitting another train carrying crude oil going the opposite way on an adjacent track. Police have advised residents to evacuate their homes because of fumes. There are a lot of trains carrying crude oil in north dakota these days. It is one of the nations new and plentiful sources of oil. The train that caused the explosion was carrying it from there to minnesota. The fourth major drailment in six months and likely to recharge the debate over the safety of the north American Energy boom.
