Guwahati, April 20 : Over 66 per cent of the 2,532 voters on Tuesday cast their votes in the re-polling in four polling stations in three assembly constituencies in southern Assam, officials said.
Election officials said that there is no untoward incident reported from any of the polling stations under Cachar, Karimganj and Dima Hasao districts. There were certain irregularities were found in these four polling stations, where normal balloting were held in the second phase of Assam assembly polling on April 1, forcing the poll panel to conduct re-polling. ....

The CEO, Assam once again urges all concerned to scrupulously adhere to the guidelines of ECI in the period mentioned above in the interest of smooth completion of the election process in the state of Assam.

CEO Assam Nitin Khade has urged all concerned to adhere to the ECI guidelines on the Exit Poll ban and to comply with it in letter and spirit. As already stated in the earlier press releases of the CEO Office, the ECI, under the provision of Sub-Section (1) of Section 126A of the Representation of People Act, 1951 having regard to the provisions of Sub-Section-(2) of the said Section, had notified the period between 7:00 am on 27th March 2021 (Saturday) to 7:30 pm on 29th April 2021 (Thursday) as the period wherein conducting any exit poll and publishing or publicizing by means of the print or electronic media or dissemination in any other mann ....

The Election Commission has ordered re-election at four polling stations across three Assembly constituencies in Assam.
