KIND builders rushed to the aid of a church following damage to the lychgate roof. Reverend Glen Mansfield received a phone call on December 9 informing him that a vehicle had hit the lychgate at the Dyserth Road cemetery in Rhyl. Julie Woodward, Warden of St Thomas Church, was tasked to assess the damage and to make the area safe. Julie felt the tiles on the lychgate roof posed a Health and Safety concern; some were hanging off and were loose. She called Henry Jones & Son Building Services for assistance and asked them to invoice the church for the work, but the company declined and carried out the work free of charge.
