know, as they said in the piece, big companies copy small companies and then fail. yeah. so evite exists, they have a huge database of people, why is that paperless post can be so confident? well, i think, you know, paperless post is an innovative company. jonah said it really well, it s difficult. they came out with an idea novel and fresh. evite, at the time, had become quite stale. not just stale but the products were very clunky and it didn t feel right to people. they came out with something fresh, unique, had a point of view, it was beautiful. and it really caught on. and the beauty of an invitation service on the web is that every recipient is a potential customer. so there s a natural vorality built into the service. paperless post is an example of why young upstart nimble companies can win on the web,
a conservative talker, says she doesn t want to be the skunk at the garden party, but romney is losing. do you believe that? his campaign does seem to be running like a dry creek, ed. this is a very vulnerable president. he should be able to be beaten and beaten fairly easily. but romney, he seems to be surrounded by washington insiders, business as usual republicans. and people don t like those. they don t like being the bush wing of the party. they want something new, something fresh, somebody who is going to come in and excite them and say, we re not going to continue crony capitalism, we re not going to continue business as usual here. we re not going to grow the government massively as democrats and republicans have done for far too long. you want somebody from out in the grassroots that s going to be convincing that they can bring change to washington. and i don t think these washington insiders, rob portman, tim pawlenty, paul
becoming the latest debate pinata. it s not fun and it s not easy. but if you can take the heat you have a good chance to land in the white house kitchen. look at barack obama. remember that? say what you will, his constant battle with hillary clinton served him well in getting to the democratic nomination. and set him up nicely to debate for the 2008 debate. that general election where he triumphed over john mccain. i have yet to provide a debate that didn t provide something new, something telling, something fresh, barbing telling something revealing or off-putting remark that was stinging. i like to think my colleagues at fox do a better job questioning the guys but i think we are all the better off for having a lot more debates featuring any and all questions we can throw at the guys. after all, chances are one of them gets in the white house and fully control access. i say better we grill them now and often, wile we still can.
