Thirty-five-year-old Anthony Wayne Thurman appeared during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him stemming from the incident. He also asked Circuit Judge John Putman to lift the no contact order put in place after the incident to keep the couple apart. The judge denied the request. Thurman is charged with first-degree domestic battery and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
