The Indian Space Research Organisation on Tuesday introduced the four astronaut-designates for India’s ambitious human space flight programme Gaganyaan. The four Indian Air Force officers were bestowed with ‘astronaut wings’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) plans to conduct the first tests for the proposed Bharatiya Space Station next year, aiming for the launch of its first module by 2028. The space agency is in talks with the industry for manufacturing, testing, and launching the module. Prime Minister Narendra Modi s target is to have the space station operational by 2035.
“The solar mission, Aditya-L1 is for the whole of the world, not for India alone, for all of us to understand and make use of its scientific importance,” Somanath said while speaking to ANI on Saturday.
