The Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Health directorate has initiated COVID-19 stakeholder engagement to whip-up enthusiasm among the first batch of people to take the COVID-19 vaccination within the Municipality. Dr Esther Priscilla Biamah-Danquah, Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Health Director who is championing the campaign has engaged the Municipal Chief Executive, Assembly Members, Heads of Security Services and some nurses at Kpone, near Tema on the vaccination. Dr Biamah-Danquah told the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Kpone that, 6,873 people were expected to get vaccinated after the first batch of the Vaccination within the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality. She re-affirmed the fact that, the vaccination was to create immunity in the human system against the coronavirus and not to cure the deadly COVID-19. ....

According to the Commander, it was time Chiefs and Traditional Leaders differentiate between the criminal aspect of land disputes and those that need to be settled by the Traditional Councils. According to Hopeson Adorye, the MCE gave out Ghs50 to constituents and asked them to vote skirt and blouse in the constituency. He lost his seat to the incumbent National Democratic Congress s (NDC), Joseph Akuetteh Tetteh. NPP faithfuls want Kpone-Katamanso MCE removed over electoral defeat New Patriotic Party (NPP) faithfuls in the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality in the Greater Accra Region are calling for the removal of the Municipal Chief Executive over the defeat of the party in the constituency. The angry party members blamed Mr Solomon Tettey Appiah, the MCE who is also a former parliamentary candidate, of being behind their defeat in the December 7 general election. The NPP lost both the presidential and the parliamentary race in the Kpone-Katamanso constituency after polling 37,473 and 39,546 respectively, as against the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) 54,924 and 51,755 respectively. Calling on President Akufo-Addo to terminate Mr Appiah’s appointment, the aggrieved members beseeched the constituency party office with placards some of which read: “Sack Solo or we will force him out”, enemy of progress Solomon Appiah Tettey is our downfall”. ....
