Sexual Assault Office of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) has been enhanced with a new playroom for children at the Rove police headquarters.
Officer In-Charge (OIC) Sexual Assault Team, Inspector Rose Nala says, “Police officers usually investigates serious sexual offences including those offences done against our most vulnerable young children.”
OIC Nala says, “The new play room will provide a safe and comforting environment for child victims, and children of adult victims who attend the office.” ....

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) was part of the ground-breaking ceremony to start construction of the new police station at Wagina Island in Choiseul Province on 26 April 2021.
Commissioner of police Mostyn Mangau says, “The people of Wagina in Choiseul Province have been longing to see the ground-breaking for the Wagina Police Station as it is the first of its kind in their community.” ....

Australian High Commissioner Dr Lachlan Strahan travelled with Foreign Affairs Minister Jeremiah Manele and Health Minister Dr Culwick Togamana to their home province of Isabel last week to underscore the deep, multi-faceted relationship between Solomon Islands and Australia.
He highlighted Australia’s strong commitment to allocating funds to advance development in the provinces. During the two-day trip on 14-16 December, Dr Strahan handed over 11 water tanks to communities in the province’s south and equipment to Buala Hospital. ....
