City of Rochester Set Reopening Date For City Pools

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - After a temporary closure due to safety concerns, the City of Rochester Parks & Recreation department has announced when Soldiers Field Pool and Silver Lake Pool will reopen, and registration will be required.
According to a news release, the Soldiers Field Pool will reopen and the Silver Lake Pool with open on
Monday, June 14th. After the Parks & Recreation Department, other City departments, and community partners developed a plan to address the safety concerns that had arisen.
The plan includes additional staff and volunteers who will assist in monitoring activities outside of the water. Community organizations have offered to visit the pools and interact with participants. Rochester Police Department School Resource Officers (SROs) will have an occasional presence at the pools throughout the summer to interact with the youth and families and to help ensure a safe and fun experience. ....
