Walk/run to provide clean water for children in developing world

SELMA The ECI Global 6K for Water will be at 3 p.m. May 23 at Prairie Creek Reservoir, 7801 S. Delaware County Road 570-E.
With past years events, the East Central Indiana community has raised more than $127,000 (benefiting 2,879 people) for sustainable clean water projects in the developing world, with a focus on countries in Africa, and India and Haiti. The World Vision Global 6K for Water is a worldwide event to raise funds for children who need clean water.
The distance of the walk/run is 3.73 miles or 6K, which is the average a child walks in the developing world for contaminated, dirty water, according to a release from local organizers Kristen Herbst and Staci Buck. ....
