I request the TNSTC to issue the daily bus pass again. M. Saravanakumar, Under-utilised railway stretch Nagercoil and Coimbatore are connected through two express trains running via Karur, Erode and Tirupur. The newly-laid broad gauge line between Dindigul and Palghat/Coimbatore is under-utilised but for Amirtha Express running between Madurai and Thiruvananthapuram via Pollachi and Palghat. In spite of several representations, no trains have been introduced on the Dindigul-Pollachi- Coimbatore/Palghat section. The crores of money spent on this project is not serving the common man and it is a loss to the railways. I request the railway authorities to operate more trains and make the best use of ....

Raju inaugurated a community hall, library, and construction of paver block roads and borewell at zone 4 here on Friday, established using his MLA Constituency Development fund. The Minister, along with Corporation Commissioner S. Visakan, inaugurated the laying of paver block roads in Sastri First and Second streets, and Nethaji Second, Fourth and Fifth Cross streets (ward 90), at a cost of ₹22.90 lakh. But 50% of the services in Chennai are ordinary. It is an irony that on seeing the poor condition of people in Madurai, Gandhiji started wearing only dhoti. The TNSTC Madurai division must increase the number of ordinary city bus services, as in Chennai, taking into account the large number of people belonging to the economically weaker sections in Madurai.
