Japanese fish farmers are ready to help Taiwan after China banned Taiwanese grouper imports, the <i>Sankei Shimbun</i> reported yesterday. The Chinese General Administration of Customs suspended imports of the fish on Monday last week, citing prohibited chemicals and excessive levels of oxytetracycline allegedly found in grouper imports since December last year. Shoichi Onitsuka was found lying on a farm road near his home in the Kagoshima Prefecture city of Satsumasendai by a passerby at around 7:55 a.m., and the passerby made an emergency call. Onitsuka was initially conscious, but became unconscious while being transported to the hospital.
