Tomorrow must depend on more than just television and getting out the word which is the story really of two worlds when we talk about tv. al jazeera has been taken off the air in the country by the still broadcasting internationally. state television which we were watching over the weekend, it seemed atypical. saudi arabia s al arabiya is the only network showing what is happening on the ground. now when text and internet access is not working, that s where protesters are getting their information, from that network. outside, it is blowing up. tweets are coming in too fast to read each one. facebook pages, over 350,000 members being read and contributed to by people in saudi arabia, jordan, syria, yemen and other places. in other words, that social media bullhorn is regional. what had been called an air ak spring of popular revolt now is, of course, the concern all around the entire area. richard, thanks so much. we re just getting in new word out of athens, greece, and ....
