When you say you are looking for a place to put all of th e snow, what s the solution to that tonight? yeah, it s really working hard with dpw to make sure that we have locations to properly move snow. i have a few in my district that i have identified two properly removed because they are far away from residences. in cities there s high density in some neighborhoods, low density in some of them. so it s really identifying those spots to appropriately remove them. because you know, if we build a snowbank that s ten feet, high it can really hinder visibility for vehicular traffic. so, what is happening now is ....

i want to know about that. here is what i would think. you are stuck in a snowbank, and you can run your heater until you run out of gas. but, i, mean some people were trapped for hours and hours. what other tips do you have? what do we need to carry in our cars for this? well, yeah. in the car you should only run your heater for about 40 minutes at a time. turn it off, then turn it back on so that you can save gas. you want to make sure that you are exhaust pipe is clear on the car. because you can get carbon monoxide is really a big problem. crack your window when you are doing that. so yeah, you want to have, oh gosh, extra clothes. hold on, mark, let me stop you right there. we have actually a graphic of tips which is really helpful, i think. obviously stuff yourself in with you. we all know, god willing, you have yourself in. don t leave your vehicle. you say, unless health is ....

Are in a war. this is a war with mother nature. she has been beating us with everything she has. in a region that is used to harsh winter weather, this is worse. we deal with snow all the time. the conditions were different because with the gusts of wind, i could tell you, firsthand, zero visibility. i can see two feet in front of my vehicle. up to 43 inches of snow, hurricane-force winds, and hundreds of vehicles stuck. there was fires everywhere. buffaloes roads still impassable in most areas. it is been crazy, the snowbank is taller than me on my front lawn. more than 500 rescues, some people were trapped in cars for days before they were found by rescue workers. going into homes, going into vehicles and too many tragic times, find people who did not survive the experience. in the western york region, power substations are frozen and elections he s out. thousands of people left without heat. ....
