(SMITHVILLE) An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Smithville man on a murder charge. 
Reports indicate 56-year-old Thomas Dwayne Thomason was shot in the front lawn of his home early Saturday morning and transported by DeKalb County EMS to the local hospital in Smithville, TN, where he died.
