June 2 Philadelphia Orchestra free Pride Concert - at 7:30 p.m. in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Led by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the performance will be a celebration of resilience, perseverance, joy and love themes that will be apparent throughout the evening in Leonard Bernstein’s Overture to Candide, Jennifer Higdon’s Fanfare Ritmico, selections from Barber’s Suite from Souvenirs and selections from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake.
May 27 Twilight in the Gardens - At Magic Gardens, 1020 South St., from 7-10 p.m., BYOB after-hours event celebrating the start of the summer programming season with a live performance by Dendê Macêdo and cold porcelain creations with Ivonne Pinto García.
May 18 Dish it Up - From 6-9 p.m. at Lincoln Financial FIeld, Women Against Abuse Inc. will host the 14th annual event and women chefs will bring their culinary skills to compete for best dish of the night, selected by a panel of celebrity judges.
