Staff will again be watching the impact on emergency departments when new hours are implemented at the UCCs on July 5 closing the doors of the facilities from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. while developing plans to mitigate any potential impacts.
“It suggests many people have drunk the Kool-Aid on the dog-eat-dog economic order we’re part of that says if you can’t provide for yourself, if you have fewer resources, or if you have a disability, you don’t count as much as other people.”
