When asked about West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee s decision to go solo in the Lok Sabha elections, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh said, "Mamata Banerjee has said to fight (alone) so Congress should persuade her. It is the big responsibility of Congress to take along smaller parties."
India News: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has stated that the Congress holds a big responsibility of taking along smaller parties. He also mentioned the need for the Congress to persuade Mamata Banerjee to join the alliance. Yadav expressed hope that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will not join the NDA and will strengthen the INDIA bloc. He emphasized the formation of a strong alliance in Uttar Pradesh for victory in the upcoming elections. Yadav criticized the government on various issues and claimed that the PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, and Alpsankhyak) alliance will defeat the NDA.
