CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 22, 2020 (BSS) – Dwellers in six slums of Chapainawabganj municipality are getting facilities as the incumbent government has implemented several projects with a view to improving their standard of life.
The municipality has ensured a lot of facilities including concrete roads, pure drinking water, street lights, sanitary toilets, drains and dustbins under the Third Urban Governance Infrastructure Improvement Project (UGIIP-3) at a cost of Taka 3,47,50,861.
Executive Engineer of Chapainawabganj municipality Md. Sadequl Islam said at the continuous increase of population poor people are moving towards the towns in search of work. They take shelter in the slums and construct residences without plans and as a result, the environment of the slum areas becomes unhealthy. ....
