FOUR talented Skipton Swimming Club athletes’ hopes of competing at the 2021 Annual British Swimming Championships have been thwarted for the second time in 12 months due to the ever- continuing Covid-19 pandemic.
Club captain Paige Fenton, 17, from Silsden, is studying for A levels in 6th form at South Craven School. She is also studying for the Diploma in Sporting Excellence with Loughborough College. She qualified for 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke.
Archie Minto, aged 18, from Burley-in-Wharfedale is also studying for A levels in 6th form at Ilkley Grammar School and would have raced in the 200m IM, 200m backstroke, 100m & 200m butterfly. ....
