One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash Thursday night around 7:20 p.m. on State Road 59 and County Road 625 N.
Steelie Barbee, 52, of Jasonville, and two adult passengers, were traveling southbound in a 1996 Ford on State Road 59 when the vehicle traveled off the road. An investigation by Troopers Caleb Garvin and Ben Burris with the Indiana State Police did not immediately find a cause. The vehicle proceeded to travel 50 yards down an embankment before coming to an abrupt stop.
First responders who arrived on the scene rendered first-aid to Barbee and the passengers. The Greene County Coroner later pronounced Barbee dead at the scene while the two passengers were treated and released. ....
