February 24, 2021WHITEFIELD Last Wednesday in blustery conditions, the WMRHS Nordic team raced at home due to icy conditions at the original venue in Bethlehem. It was a dual meet where the Spartans raced against the Profile Patriots in a 5k skate race.
Spartan Robert Southworth took first place in a time of 14:25. Just seconds behind Southworth was Spartan teammate Eli Percey, who crossed in 14:34. Kieran Tobin took third place in a time of 15:10.
Profile s Jed Kennerson who clocked in at 16:25 taking fourth place, led a pack of five teammates to the finish before another Spartan would cross. Elvis Lawton took fifth place in a time of 16:31, close behind his Profile teammate. Brody Tors flew through the finish not even a second later, crossing in 16:32. Yuto Whitney and Quincey Burger finished one after another in 17:12 and 17:16 respectively.
