20-pounds cannot receive lungs from a 200-pound man. but that s different. now you can. these kidses under 12 can get lungs from adults, and so it changes the whole game. the policy is not cut the numbers are astounding because kids under the age 106, there were only 20 lung transplants, over the age of 12, more than 1600. so clearly, as you get older, your odd goes up. but if this girl can accept lungs it should be a common sense thing given to her. previously it was a size issue but modern technology allows for a small section of the lung to be transplanted. so she no longer has a medical reason to be ineligible for a lung transplant at this time. what happens if she gets sicker? her parents say she has weeks to live. what if it comes down to days? is there something that the medical world, do to help expedite this? ....
