3 Suspected NPA Rebels Killed in Negros Clashes Claimed by Families

Three suspected NPA rebels killed in separate clashes in Negros have been claimed by their families. The slain rebels were identified as Dionisio Baloy, 67, Bernard Torres Sr., 56, and Edmar Pat Solano. Solano's family claimed his remains a day after he was killed in an encounter with the Army’s 11th Infantry Battalion. Baloy and Torres' remains were turned over to their families after an encounter with the 62nd Infantry Battalion. Both belonged to remnants of the NPA’s Central Negros 1 guerilla front. Army vows to block NPA recovery efforts, mass buildup in NegOr
