The 22-year-old from Honoka‘a was crowned winner of the Big Island’s ultimate singing competition Saturday night on the grand stage at Hilo Town Market.
The six finalists vying for the crown, in no particular order, are Kacy Sanchez, Josh Lozada, Bridge Hartman, Terran “TJ” Kaleiwahea Jr., Teena-Marie Viavia and Loretta “Green Eyes” Lopes.
Returning to the Big Island’s ultimate singing competition stage Wednesday night at Hilo Town Market were nine of the 18 winners from the first six quarterfinal rounds, once again battling it out in karaoke format.
Hilo Idol, is creating a platform a literal stage for exposure, cross-promotion and being part of reconnecting, re-establishing and reinvigorating the community in a still-waking post-COVID world.
Aside from the 50th annual Queen Lili‘uokalani Canoe Race, this week’s events include support for people impacted by the deadly wildfires on Maui comprising of a benefit concert and a vigil, to more live music.
