She has been there for 34 years and done numerous book signings and is a Community Icon for the people in the community and we thank her for that. [applause] she is a polio survivor herself. In 1957 at two years old, she contracted polio. If you know her, you know that hasnt held her back title. She had her back at all. She has been a pain to everyone here in regard to the american disabilities act. Wasthe march of dimes, she the poster child. Was also an honored guest at the white house when they signed the american with disabilities act. She is the Founding Member of the west chester polio survivor committee. Irma Lossow, 97, passed away at Bethany Good Samaritan Home January 9, 2024. She was born May 7, 1926 in Crosby to Roy and Ragna Maxfield. She graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1943. She was the youngest in her class because she skipped 2nd grade.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Kathleen Marie “Kay” Hamerlinck, 95, of St. Cloud, who passed away peacefully on June 23, 2023, at St. Benedict’s Senior Community after a brief illness.
