Singapore is set to lift the COVID-19 restrictions on non-vaccinated individuals from Monday but it is ready to step up such measures when necessary to lower infection rates and protect the unvaccinated, Health Minister Ong Ye Kung said on Sunday.
Of the 11,504 new COVID-19 cases reported on Tuesday till noon, 10,732 were local infections and 772 imported cases. Also, one person succumbed to the viral infections, taking the total number of deaths linked to coronavirus complications to 1,410 since the pandemic hit the city-state.
Fully vaccinated travellers from eight countries will be able to enter Singapore without quarantine from Tuesday, as the business hub eases restrictions and gears up to live with the coronavirus.
