Political and religious leaders in New Orleans celebrated Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday on Monday with a march through Central City and speeches honoring the late civil rights icon.
Three years ago, a jury convicted Michael Willis, 51, on a slew of drug-related charges, but it hopelessly hanged when weighing whether Willis was responsible for the second-degree murder of 41-year-old Branden Pelot, who overdosed Jan. 22, 2018 on fentanyl-laced heroin sold by Willis.
