Make the materials we all use. simon bingle is lead artist on the project. he s working on a clay model of a concrete sculpture that will be on display at cornwall s eco attraction, the eden project. the cement industry is one of the world s worst carbon dioxide polluters, along with steel, plastics, aluminium, and paperand card. cement is obviously a very polluting product in its manufacture, as well as being a wonderful material and responsible for some of the fantastic buildings and our infrastructure. but we have to be conscious of the amount of carbon it produces in its production. and just seeing the way we re just ravaging the world for our consumption just revolts me and we re just going the wrong direction, as far as i can see. not only are we denuding the world ....
