By George Bains 16 Dec 2020 The first foreign-flagged superyacht has completed quarantine aboard in Phuket and is now able to enjoy Thailand’s natural splendour and cruising grounds. The superyacht, brought into the country by Asia Pacific Superyachts (APS), produced negative tests after the quarantine period and is now able to moor in its marina of choice as well as travel within Phuket. “ The APS team was delighted to be part of the critical process for the first superyacht to clear into the country and complete quarantine aboard,” said Gordon Fernandes, APS Phuket co-founder. Fernandes also disclosed that the Royal Thai Navy was involved in monitoring the yacht during quarantine to ensure that she remained in the allocated area, tracking the vessel by Automatic Identification System (AIS). ....
