Howard County Police are investigating after a suspect stole things out of 19 cars parked in the Columbia area from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Police believe the crimes are connected.
According to detectives, the thief got into some of the cars because they were unlocked. In other cases, surveillance video shows the thief breaking the car windows to get inside.
The thefts occurred in the neighborhoods off Route 108 around Jericho Road, Silver Tree Place and Columbia Road. Other thefts happened off Cedar Lane, River Rock Way and Green Mill Way.
