Danville Public Schools wins Telly Awards


DANVILLE, Va. — Danville Public Schools won two 2021 Telly Awards for videos produced by Patrick Stowe, multimedia communications specialist. 
Stowe’s Danville Public Schools promotional video received the Silver Telly in the Non-Broadcast: Educational Institution category. “Life Goes On,” a video produced to express appreciation to the teachers and staff of DPS during the COVID-19 pandemic, received a Bronze Telly in the Non-Broadcast: Employee Communications category. 
Since 1979, the Telly Awards have been honoring video and television across all screens. More than 12,000 entries are received from all 50 states and five continents each year. 
Entrants are judged by The Telly Awards Judging Council, an industry body of more than 200 leading experts from advertising agencies, production companies, and major television networks. It includes executives from Dow Jones, Duplass Brothers Productions, Complex Networks, A&E Networks, Hearst Media ....
