February 11, 2021 The City of Linden is moving toward providing a Fenton Township property with water service. On Monday, Linden City Council considered a proposal from DMK Development to connect their planned assisted living facility on Silver Lake Road to the cityâs water system. The Tri-County Times reports that a meeting with DMK is set this week to discuss the proposal. The 8.26-acre parcel where the facility would be built was granted rezoning last month by the Fenton Township Board of Trustees for a Planned Unit Development. The developers say the 83-bed assisted living facility will be called Silver Lake Road Assisted Living. The request also needs approval from the Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE). ....
âOn Monday, Jan. 18, the Fenton Township Board of Trustees voted to rezone a property on Silver Lake Road that would allow for an assisted living facility. âThe 8.26-acre vacant property, just north of Priceâs Airport, is rezoned from Horizon Park PUD to DMK Assisted Living PUD, Planned Unit Development. This is one step closer to the 83-bed assisted living facility developers, which is DMK Development Group, plan to build. âThe proposed project is called Silver Lake Road Assisted Living. âThe Planning Commission recommended approval for the project Oct. 8, and the Board of Trustees discussed it Nov. 9. During these discussions, the Fenton Township Master Plan classified this area as Low Density Residential and township officials debated over whether an assisted living facility is classified as low density residential development. ....
