'The Silenced Lyre' Lebanon, N.H., writer Steve LeBlanc started writing The Silenced Lyre, a musical adaptation of Eugene Onegin, seminal Russian author Alexander Pushkin’s novel in verse, more than 20 years ago. Now, this massive project finally sees the stage, courtesy of community theater troupe the Parish Players. The Victorian-era tragedy follows a conceited St. Petersburg dandy whose rejection of a young, lovestruck woman sets in motion a series of events that ends with heartbreak, murder and ruin.
