Sikkim: The govt. of Sikkim in continuation of the order by the Home Ministry dated April 24, 2021, has notified that all central and state government, government-aided, and private educational institutions, universities, colleges, tutorials, coaching institutes, and hostels will remain shut till until June 25, 2021. This decision was taken as an attempt to curb the spread of the deadly infectious disease keeping in mind the COVID-19 situation in the Himalayan state. The notification issued by the Home Ministry included the following instruction to be followed during the closure period. Work from home, online and offline classes must continue during the closure period in accordance with the COVID-19 protocol, and the dairy records of online or any other mode of classes must be kept by teaching faculty members, who must share them with the concerned head of the institution on a bi-monthly basis.
