Sacramento County motorcyclist dies after crashing into big-rig in Placer County, CHP says

Apr. 30 A Sacramento County man died Thursday morning after his motorcycle struck the trailer of a big-rig trying to make a left turn near Lincoln, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Despite attempts to revive him, the 49-year-old Citrus Heights man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the CHP Auburn Area Office. The Placer County Coroner s Office will release his name once his family has been notified.
The fatal crash was reported shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday on Sierra College Boulevard near Lower Ranch Road.

ROCKLIN (CBS13) Officers are investigating a deadly crash involving a car and a pedestrian that happened in Rocklin late Thursday night.
Rocklin police say, a little before 11 p.m., a person was struck by a car along Sierra College Boulevard between Schriber Way and Stadium Entrance.
Police would not say if the driver stayed at the scene after the crash.
The pedestrian has died.

It happened on Sierra College Boulevard in Roosevelt Parkway before 5 30 this morning. Officers say the driver of the SUV took a left on a red light, hitting the on duty CHP officer. The officer did go to the hospital. Alcohol and drugs are not considered to be factors in this crash.
