There still might be a baseball club in Sidney this summer. Those interested are requested to meet in the county recorder’s office next week. The main goal will be the raising of sufficient funds for the season.

The Sidney Electric Railway will become a reality. The company is issuing stock to those interested. Please see Charles Timeus. You will need to pay 10% of the stock price down immediately. The work of securing the right of way will begin as early as next week.

There is a new painting company in town. It is the Peter Cook and Sons partnership. They have erected a shop at 725 North Oak Avenue, east of the Buckeye Churn Plant. The men will engage in the painting of autos. ....

The meeting of the stockholders of the Sidney Electric Railway Co. and others interested in the enterprise, held at the Wagner House last evening, was one of the most enthusiastic and unanimous business meetings ever held in Sidney. An audit of the subscriptions showed 401 shares, amounting to $10,025, had been subscribed. A total of 379 shares were present at the meeting in person. The stockholders elected the following to the board of directors: I.H. Thedieck, Charles Timeus, Hugh T. Mathers, Fred Colburn, and Frank Hunter.

A blacksmith and wagon-making shop, near the residence of Ed Pruden, in orange township, four miles south of Sidney, caught fire last night and was entirely destroyed by the blaze. ....
