The Maine Maritime Museum is home to the historic Percy & Small wooden shipyard and is a spot where you can watch traditional skills demonstrations and see exhibits, including A Sailor’s Treasure: Sea Chests & Curiosities and Sidney Chase’s “Eye.” Seafaring history is a rich one and the museum has a 20-acre waterfront campus bursting with it.  Sail on in between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday for Community Day with free admission.
