Democrats to propose in presidential elections are on the table for many candidates. a half dozen have supported bernie sanders, the most ambitious, the most liberal medicare for all. at least half a dozen on the democratic side support that. here s how this works out. they support it because 81% of democrats support it. independents, a majority. republicans don t like this idea. if you say do you want a national health care plan, you now get in this kaiser poll majority support. the issue is when you get into the specifics. take a peek. do you want a plan that gives you universal coverage? do you want a plan that eliminates premiums like medicare for all would? tests off the charts. would you like a plan that eliminates privacy insurance? then you get into the danger zone. what about a plan that requires you to pay higher taxes? the plan drops. what about delays in getting your treatment? then it drops off the table there. it s popular with democrats. ....
