The Queen Victoria statue in Port Elizabeth has been painted green. It follows the defacement of several other statues around the country. 10 April 2015
Port Elizabeth - Queen Victoria is the latest statue to fall victim to vandals in Nelson Mandela Bay Metro. In the early hours of Friday morning, the statue in front of the public library was covered in green paint.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have denied responsibility for defacing the statue but commended those who did.
Bo Madwara deputy chairperson for Nelson Mandela Bay region however praised the action, It is good, the message is spreading. ....
