Authorities said that three healthcare workers will face action for the lapse. The incident occurred on January 31 at the Bhanbora Primary Health Centre in Kapsikopri village during the National Pulse Polio vaccination drive for children aged between 1 and 5. The affected children, all of who are below the age of five, were admitted to the Government Medical College in Yavatmal. ....

The kids were then admitted to a government hospital and are said to be stable now. The children were kept under observation for 48 hours. They are ok and will be discharged today, Yavatmal Collector MD Singh was quoted as saying by PTI news agency. Singh added that an inquiry has been completed into the incident and a report will be submitted to the government and appropriate action will be taken at the state- level. ....

It is an unforgivable mistake to give sanitiser to children in place of polio drops. Action has been taken against the concerned Anganwadi worker, Tope said. The incident took place on January 31 at a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Kapsikopri village during the National Pulse Polio drive where the children were given sanitiser drops instead of polio drops after which one child started vomiting.
