Bathinda: To commemorate the 102nd Anniversary of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, Central University of Punjab under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari organized a special lecture on ‘Jallianwala Bagh: Martyrdom to Freedom’. CUPB conducted this programme as the part of Aazadi ka Amrut Mahotsav Programme Series. The keynote speaker of this programme was Shri Rajesh Ramachandran, Editor-in-Chief, The Tribune.
 
The programme began with the welcome address by Prof. Ramakrishna Wusirika, Dean In-charge Academics. Dr. Bawa Singh, HoD, Dept. of South & Central Asian Studies, put a light on the programme theme. While introducing the keynote speaker, Dr. Rajinder Sen mentioned that Shri Ramachandran is an acclaimed editor, columnist, and reporter with over 25 years of experience. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said on Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) about his leader A Raja’s alleged vulgar remarks against the mother of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami that it shows that the party had no relation to women. .
