Digital calendar and Digital Diary of Government of India launched

In a ceremony held at National Media Center, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shri Prakash Javadekar launched the Android and iOS mobile applications for the Digital Calendar and Diary of the Government of India.
Highlighting the features of the app Sh Javadekar said “the app was free and will be available in 11 languages from 15
th January, 2021. The app will do away with the need for a new calendar every year”. He further added “each month will carry a theme and an accompanying message and will feature one famous Indian personality. The app will also inform people about the timeline of the launch of various government programs so far”. ....

I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar launches Digital Calendar and Diary of Government of India
Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shri Prakash Javadekar today launched the Digital Calendar and Diary of Government of India. In aceremony held at National Media Center, Shri Javadekar, with the click of a button unveiled the Android and iOS mobile applications of the calendar and diary.
Speaking on the occasion the Minister expressed happiness that the Government calendar that has adorned the walls in the past will now adorn mobile phones. Highlighting the features of the app Sh Javadekar said “the app was free and will be available in 11 languages from 15 ....

International Blue Flag hoisted at 8 beaches across the country including Shivrajpur in Gujarat


New Delhi: Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shri Prakash Javadekar today virtually hoisted the international blue flags in 8 beaches across the country.India secured the International Blue Flag Certification for these beaches on 6th October 2020, when an International Jury comprising of member organizations UNEP, UNWTO, UNESCO, IUCN, ILS, FEE etc. announced the award at Copenhagen, Denmark. Blue Flag certification is a globally recognised eco-label accorded by “Foundation for Environment Education in Denmark” based on 33 stringent criteria.
While congratulating and lauding the efforts of the State and central government as well as the people, ShriJavadekar said that neat and clean beaches are an indicator that the coastal environment is in good health and the Blue Flagcertification is a global recognition of India’s conservation and sustainable development efforts. ....

NEW DELHI: Asserting that ‘Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics’ is a “sunrise sector”, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday announced the government will set up a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in cooperation with IIT-Bombay which will offer courses in AVGC.
Addressing the CII Big Picture Summit virtually, the minister said this centre will undertake initiatives to promote entrepreneurship and encourage start-ups in the sector.
“We are a country where the growth of communication technology is phenomenal. This presents a tremendous scope for the entertainment and media industry,” Javadekar said. ....

51st IFFI would be organized in a hybrid manner
New Delhi -Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Shri Prakash Javadekar said that the idea of organizing a film festival to celebrate short films made on coronavirus was wonderful. Speaking at the International Coronavirus Short Film Festival here today, Shri Javadekar said that the festival witnessing participation of 2,800 films from 108 countries on a single topic is an example of peoples’ immense talent. The Minister congratulated the organizers of the festival.
Shri Javadekar said that the pandemic has caused major upsets in countries across the globe. However, he noted, that India has been able to handle the crisis well under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who recognized the crisis early in 2020 and has since been working relentlessly against the threat. ....
