The beit midrash at Yeshivat Har Etzion â one of many Orthodox schools in Israel whose overseas students face new obstacles in coming to yeshiva.
Sometimes our responsibilities seem overwhelming. The trick is not to let such circumstances paralyze us. All we need to do is take the first step in the right direction. We find a support for this idea in this weekâs parsha.
Our parsha begins with the words, âVâhaya Eikev Tishmiâunâ (and it will be when you listenâ¦to these laws, then Hashem will bless you; Parshas Eikev, 7:12). The Hebrew word for âwhenâ in this verse is âEikev.â This seems a bit strange because in general the translation of âEikevâ is âheel.â
