I am speaking today on behalf of the democratic process. With the tragic passing of ed lee, our city is in an interesting position, where incumbents have the position to run for mayor in june. I am asking that this board vote for an interim mayor who is not running for the seat. This will allow the voters the first chance in over a decade to make their own decision on who should represent them.
