Averages and overnight low averages getting a little bit lower now, cooler with high temperatures this afternoon right where they should be for this time of year. We have some moisture left over, you can kind of see that in the morning. When you have a satellite and radar perspective where youre already seeing moisture on top of the state gives you an idea of what is going to happen through the afternoon. So showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop but to the north there is some dry air, you cant see it on that view but you see the orange hues. Well talk into that beginning tomorrow and that will our rain chances 20 to 30 . For today were still looking at a pretty good coverage between 1 00 and 5 00 so if you have outdoor plans just keep in mind were going to see showers and storms and there will be some lightning with these as well. So if you hear thunder you want to get the kids inside from the pool. Before we get into the storms though well have plenty of sunshine early on
Their homes as mandatory evacuations remain in effect. Anchor james tully is live there now. You found some people who are refusing to leave. Reporter i talked to a couple of people this morning that say their homes are within a couple of inches of taking on water and because they didnt they stuck around. I want to show you, you see somebody try to work through elfers parkway here. You can see the water flowing. There people can get home. Not so much here but some spots the current is so strong it can sweep you away. Further down the parkway, footage from yesterday, you can see water much higher, families forced to use canoes to get back and forth or wade through water that is not very clean. Many have gone through this before and that could be a reason mandatory evacuations are not enough to get them to vacate their property. There are people that live here, most of their lives. They know what the river does. Thats why a lot of people dont leave. Reporter fwc was patrolling yesterday
