They have been expensive beasts, especially when the professional versions started in 2013. This one should render a slight financial gain for the club and in the past they have mostly broken even. They need ample prizemoney to attract the best players from sponsors such as property developer Brian Green, again this year aided by Palmerston North city s contribution. Preparing the course for such an event piles on the workload and overtime for the greenkeepers and for the general manager in seeking out sponsorship. ....
