MaryAnn Oakley, 74, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, May 2, 2021. MaryAnn was born in Yonkers, N.Y., to the late Samuel and Rose Gaeta.
She enjoyed fishing, crabbing and boating with her husband John. She and John also travelled all over the eastern seaboard camping. MaryAnn was also an avid quilter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Oakley Sr.
She is survived by her sons, John C. Oakley Jr. and James R. Oakley; cousin Laura Quiagliariello; and grandchildren, Emma H. Davis and Andrew J. Oakley.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, and 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, May 6 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 7, at 1 p.m., at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 32112 Vines Creek Road, Dagsboro. All those in attendance must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing and gathering protocols.

Harry David Hill, 61, of Lewes passed away at home Sunday, April 11, 2021. He was born March 15, 1960, in Washington, D.C. to the late James G. and Mildred (Steppe) Hill.
Harry worked as a sheet metal mechanic with heating and cooling vents. He was a member of the Lewes Moose Lodge and Rehoboth American Legion Post 5. Harry loved animals, enjoyed fishing, and going kayaking. He also loved Friday night Happy Hour at Al’s.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Robin Burns of Lewes; three siblings, Paul Hill of Dagsboro, and James and Aubrey Doss, both of Rustburg, Va.; ex-wife, Donna West of Beltsville, Md.; and his beloved dogs, Annie and Harley.

Michael Alfred Coté passed suddenly Friday, April 2, 2021. Mike was born June 4, 1948, to the late Alfred R. and Eveline Michaud Coté in Willimantic, Conn., where he resided until after college.
He attended St. Mary School and Windham High School. He received his bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Connecticut, and shortly thereafter his CPA. He worked as an accountant for Peat Warwick Mitchell, Empire National Bank, Timex and Bangor Punta.
Mike married Dr. Barbara L. Tenney Oct. 22, 1983, in the presence of family and friends. In 1987 they purchased a Koenig Art Emporium store in Springfield, Mass., and welcomed their daughter, Lisa Michelle, to the world. Mike was a stay-at-home dad for 15 years, actively participating in Lisa’s schooling and instilling his love of family, empathy for others, and sense of humor in her.
